چکیده

Thus spoke the wise Queen Delores, saying, “I have studied mathematics. I will question this young man, in my tent tonight, and in the morning I will report the truth as to his pretensions”. Jurgen, James Branch Cabell (1919), Ch. XXXII: Jurgen proves it by mathematics Evolutionary game theory [3] defines something like a functor from the classical theory of games to dynamical systems, imagining biological entities whose rate of reproduction is proportional to their success at playing the game in question. It is a beautiful and accessible subject; these notes on two interesting examples grew out of JHU’s 2007 BioCalc I course, and I’d like to thank the students there for their interest and forebearance. This work was also suggested by DARPA’s Fundamental Problems of Biology initiative. 1. Following Hofbauer and Sigmund [3 §10.2], this is expressed by a system ẋk = xk · [(Ay)k − x · Ay] , ẏk = yk · [(Bx)k − y ·Bx] . of ‘replicator’ equations, in which there are two types of players: those of type I (males) characterized by a state vector x = (x1, . . . , xn) in a unit simplex in some space of strategies, and type II (females) defined similarly by a vector y = (y1, . . . , ym). Evolutionary games with coordination and self-dependent interactions.

Multistrategy evolutionary games are studied on a square lattice when the pair interactions are composed of coordinations between strategy pairs and an additional term with self-dependent payoff. We describe a method for determining the strength of each elementary coordination component in n-strategy potential games. Using analytical and numerical methods, the presence and absence of Ising-type...

The Lobbying, Bribery, and Compliance: An Evolutionary Model of Social Factors

Abstract Connecting to rule-makers in order to set favorable rules (lobbying) or paying government executives to bend the current rule (bribing) are the two main strategies for influencing government. This study in an evolutionary game model explain why bribing may become widespread while other states like compliance and cooperative lobbying are Pareto superior. The theoretical model is used ...

The Effectiveness of Computer Cognitive Games in Reducing Attention Deficit- Hyperactivity Disorder Symptoms and Improving Time Perception in Children

The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of computerized cognitive games on reduction of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) symptoms and time perception in children with ADHD. The present research method was a quasi-experimental pre-test-post-test design with a control group. Thirty students with ADHD were selected through purposeful sampling from elementary school stude...

The Role of Games in Teaching English Numbers to Iranian EFL Learners at the Elementary Level

English vocabulary, especially at the elementary stage of language learning process, is easily forgotten. Language games seem to be a good strategy for learning a foreign language. This study aimed to find a way to help elementary EFL learners fix the new English numbers in their minds. First, the general test of English numbers as a pretest was administered to 60 participants. They were requir...

Investigation of Game Between Cells in Occurrence of Genetic Mutations Using Evolutionary Game Theory

In this paper, two games that play a role in creating a cancer tumor and suppression are studied using evolutionary game theory and its different modes are analyzed. The first game is the competition between a cancer cell and a healthy cell to receive food through the blood. In the second game, the interaction between the two oncogenes Ras and Myc is examined for cellular deformation
